Waterfest 14 Event Coverage
|
 
Water Less is what we can call it this year. Again many of us made the trip down to Jersey for this show and again it did not disappoint! There was barely a cloud in sight this year which left us with an amazingly sunny weekend and with the ever growing cars riding on bags and more and more shaved engine bays it was hard to decide what to focus on. If you're fix was Audi's then you wouldn't be disappointed as there were more S5's and R8's then one could handle. CO had decent representation again this year however we have some big plans for next year as we're shooting to have our own booth. So, for those who "talk" about going you've been warned a year in advance that next year is the year to be there.

MVOC Rally 08
|
The sun is finally showing it's face which means MVOC is just around the corner. It's time to reserve your spot in the official MVOC Rally. Payments must be received by May 23rd. Full details are included in the Official Rally thread. Based on our original thread we have a very large interest in this so here you are. Last year we had ~50 folks from Halifax alone make the trip up, so lets make this year even better. If you have any questions at all please post in the thread

PVW Status, Misner Style
|
 
The only way to start this is by saying this months PVW feature comes very well deserved. There is no doubt that Kevin Misner is "the" Volkswagen go to guy of the Maritimes, and it's about time that he's been recognized for his skills. Hate it or love it Misner has done some of the most outrageous and ridiculous things to his dubs over the years that most of us wouldn't even bare to think of. Personally being around for half of them over the years I can tell you that this guy has only one intention, that is to build a car that makes people scratch their head wondering how he did that. This months issue of PVW gives you a very good picture of what the car was built of and how it all came about. To prove that it never ends with him take a peak at what it looks like now only a few months after the PVW photo shoot. With ever changing plans, and higher and higher expectations one wonders when it will ever end. It's guys like this that push the limits in the VW world, not just our own community. Props Kev, can't wait for the doughnut session.

MVOC 08, June 7th
|
It's our 15th year. Lets make this the best turnout ever. For those that have missed this show it's time to get your priorities straight. Seriously, the cruise up, the Elmwood, the Rodeo, and then the show itself all add to the fun and stories of the entire weekend that's for sure. This years event will be held once again at the Rotary Park in Dieppe NB on June 7th. Support the VW scene and try and make this the highest attending year to date. Lets shoot for 200 dubs this year. PVW status

Well after all the hours it's a pleasure to finally see the Silly Rabbit grace the pages of an international VW magazine. I quickly realized that if you're not a frequent member to CO then you'd have no idea where to find anything relating to the car. Since the magazine has already been released in the UK I've decided to put this out on the homepage to show any new visitors to the site a further look into the life of the car. So here's the entire build of the car and a great collection of pictures I've gathered along the way. Also, stay tuned as CustomObsessions has another stunning car soon to be featured in PVW.
