This is in two parts as I wanted to keep the Rally details in amongst the show itself. Not all attendees surf CO so having it all in one place is good for them.

When: June 5th, 2010 - 11am to 4pm Saturday
Where: St-Anselme Rotary Park on Parc Dr. Dieppe NB
Price: $10 per car, free for spectators.
As most know MVOC attracts some of the finest stock and custom dubs from around our region. The fact that MVOC attracts everyone from old school dubbers to new school hipsters makes it possinle to see anything from Rat Rods to show cars. Some people think of MVOC as a car show. The word "show" is used lightly, this is not a car show but more of a large get together of friends and enthusiasts with the same interest. I hear it mentioned all the time "I don't know if I want to put my car in the show". That's the great thing about this event, if you love your old clunker and love to talk about dubs then there's nothing for you to think about.
Aside from the amazing mixture of vehicles that the event brings, another big attraction are the prizes. As always we will be giving away thousands of dollars of prizes courtesy of our sponsors. Along with the prizes as always there will be some Dealer Displays, Music and BBQ. This year we're also trying to add a few other things such as a swap meet area, Trivia Contests, some fun small events for the family and a 50/50 draw with the profits going to charity.
On top of the few things listed above I have tons of other great ideas of things I'd like to see happen at the event, but I just don't have the time during the day to actually make them come to life. So if you're interesting in helping out with something please let me know. I'd love to do some events for the kids so any guy or girl that'd like to help out shoot me a message.
Volunteers:
As always, we can always use volunteers to help out. I honestly can't thank the volunteers enough for everything that they do it's very much appreciated. This year official volunteers will receive a Free T-shirt which will only be available to the volunteers (last years were pretty dope), free supper Saturday evening after the show at Don Cherry's or some place similar, and free food and drink during the day. Volunteers are still eligible to win prizes as well.
If you're interested in volunteering please let me know. As a Volunteer I will require your shirt size and will be depending on you to help out during that day. I will update here with the list of volunteers and who's been assigned to what tasks.
Here's a small list of things that we need help with:
Registration Table
Gate entrance
BBQ and Runners (People with access to a car to get food supplies we may run out of)
Activities
Prize donations
Parking the display cars (Directing entries)
Tear Down and Clean Up Crew
Advertising Peeps.
One major things that continue to make MVOC a success is all our sponsors. As I walked around the show ground the past couple of years I noticed more companies taking advantage of the event without contributing anything to the show itself. Many similar events of this size charge a large fee for companies to promote their product or advertise at an event of this nature. I've personally been organizing or attending the show for over a decade and the success of this show has a lot to do with the folks that contribute to it. MVOC does not charge it's vendors or anyone looking to promote their product at the show but what we do ask in return are for prize donations. Prize donations is a cheap way for a company to promote their product, while giving back to the entrants and spectators.
Please keep in mind If we continue to see companies or small business set up shop at the show without actually giving something to the event then the show will be forced to move to a private venue. What this means is the event will in turn cost substantially more to operate, prices will go up and vendors/dealer displays will cost a premium. In other words don't ruin it for everyone.
We love the show the way it is and don't want anything to change but with some pressure from the City of Dieppe to move the event for environmental reasons and companies taking advantage without giving in return it's making moving the show something that has to be considered. All we ask is that if you want to try and get something out of MVOC like promoting your product or business that you give something in return. It's a very small price to pay which reaps huge benefits for all.
On that note I personally thank all the companies/vendors that contact me and contribute to the show each year. For dealer displays and vendor areas, please contact me to pre-register (no day-of-show registration).
MVOC Swap Meet
New this year we will have an area sectioned off for you to bring your old parts that are no good to you , but may be good to someone . With MVOC getting bigger and bigger room for the Swap Meet will likely be limited.
Swap Meet will be held in the edge of the gravel parking lot closest to the BBQ and Registration. (I'll be there to help you setup in the AM) In addition because of space limitations you must register to have a spot in the swap meet - it doesn't cost you anything, its just avoid getting out of control.
Recommendations - Tables, Blankets and Large Bins are great for displaying your stuff. If you bring it in a bunch of boxes , it makes it hard to see and even harder to sell. we're all friends here so try not to gouge people. This is for me and you to find those nice hard to find bits to make your car your own.

When: Friday June 4th, Schedule departure time is ~6pm.
Where: Largest convoy is from Halifax to Moncton. Those leaving from Halifax, we meet at the Bigstop Irving in Enfield.
Price: $40 per package (anything 2XL or larger add $3 per shirt), All payments are to be made by May 1st. Payments are to be made via Email Money Transfer to veedub@ns.sympatico.ca. Payment must include your user name and shirt size. I prefer all payments to be made via EMT to avoid paypal fees. If you must send through paypal please include 4% and make sure you let me know that you sent it.
The Rally in just two years has become a huge part of this event, and possibly the largest VW/Audi convoy in Canada. Last year we nearly doubled the first years attendance with a staggering 107 cars registered. Even with that many cars I still had a bunch of people message me because they missed out. So this is your warning.
This year we will also have the ability to send the packages out for the extra cost of shipping for those making the trip from different regions. For example we had a lot of interest from the folks in PEI last year, so if you want to take part and have a PEI leg of the event then let me know.
Included in the package:
- MVOC Rally T shirt - you choose your size when ordering. *If you have a passenger that's looking for a shirt also, then it will be an additional $15 upon registration
- 2 MVOC Rally number plates - You can not request a number. as payments come in you'll be assigned a number and it will be posted in this thread.

- Free cover to the Rodeo pre party on Friday night.
